June 15 is Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Our community has caregiver resources available but they involve GOING somewhere for informational programs, activities for the active elderly, etc. What if your elder can't or won't go out, or they don't behave appropriately in social situations? I wonder if we would have fewer abused elderly if those who tend to them were better educated about what to expect and how to get help. Meanwhile, I'm deeply grateful for this forum and have learned a lot in the short time I've been involved. Thanks to AgingCare and all of you who participate.
