I was left a prepaid burial plot in Camden,Me and I have lost the paper that I had for proof, I now wish to sell the plot back to the cemetery but cannot because I no longer have proof, and the attorney involved claims there never was a prepaid plot, although there was/is.

Did you contact the cemetery to see what their records show? How was the plot left to you, in a will? The will might have been filed in the county, so there would be a record of that. Otherwise, I'm not sure how you'd prove it. I'll be curious to see what others say.

I recently found a bill of sale in my Dad files, it is for 2 plots in a local cemetery named to my niece & brother. I called the cemetery and they had records of it.. So I'd give them a call.
