My husband will turn 61 this month. He has been diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's but we can't figure out what benefits might be available for him. We've been told by SS that he doesn't qualify for SSD as he didn't have enough credits in the last ten years, and he doesn't qualify for SSI because my monthly disability retirement checks are too much.

Have you checked into some clinical trials for new meds that he might qualify for? I'm thinking at his young age, he just might be a contender. Sorry about your husband, what a stinkin' bummer.
