Companies will give you the meter for free. Then you have to get the test strips from them. Go to the pharmacy for info

Testing supplies are usually covered under Medicare Part B. Some pharmacies does not handle Part B, so check with your pharmacy to make sure they cover Part B. Then talk to your doctor about prescribing test strips and other supplies that she needs. Many things will be covered under Part B, so it saves money.

You can get free glucose meters many places. It is best to check for one that it is easy to get the test strips at the local pharmacy. That way you don't get locked in to a mail order business -- bad if you run out of strips. Even if you have to pay for a glucose meter, they don't cost much.
