Mumzieg, I see from your profile that you are helping taking care of your Grandmother who lives in her own home.

The only way to get some help where Grandma doesn't need to pay is for her to qualify for Medicaid. Depending on your State Medicaid programs it might be possible for an Aide to come by for a few hours each week. Also check to see if there are any programs where you can get paid to help her.

Sounds like you would like your Grandmother to have more care then a few hours each week. Depending on her age decline, Medicaid can place an elder into a nursing home and they will pay for her care.... but if your Grandmother owns a house, Medicare would place a lien on the house so they can get reimbursed.
