She no longer has access to the bottle but the dosage is in the med box.

No, but does the script say to be taken every 4-6 hours? A range of time or dosage? How is themed box setup to dispense? One med that my mom took had a range is dosage and time. Sometimes she needed more than other times to control behaviors. A med box would have made giving her additional medication impossible. Perhaps a conversation with Mom's doctor is in order to see about upping and standardizing dosage.

Ah, you think this caregiver is over-medicating! I see. Yes, I would be suspicious and would observe your mom's behavior, as in compare and contrast what she is like when different care givers are on duty.

Is that possible to do, perhaps by talking to your mom on the phone?

Justdoit, it sounds as though you are suspicious that the caregiver has been lifting pills. Is that the case?

Medication is not prn. The doseage is specific. no do not feel lifting pills - feel giving pills. I see a pattern between caregivers of distinct different behaviors depending on which is on duty.
