Senior Looking: Independent living apartments are $2000 per month and up. You might better look at low income senior apartments if all you have is SS.

Pawpaw, I would suggest you go to apartment website and preview what is on that website. You can narrow it down to how many bedrooms, baths, how much you want to spend, and if you prefer senior only complex. Don't narrow it down to just your own immediate area, as there might be something perfect over in the next city.

Or check with a licensed Realtor who handles rentals, as some homeowners rent space out in their own home, and that is a less expensive route.

I am interested in independent living in Gettysburg Pa. area. I am on social security. Can you guide me in the right direction? What is the income rate for a 1 bedroom or possibly a 2?
