What kind of prescription assistance? Is it through Part D?

There are a number of so-called discount prescription cards, but my experience has been that pharmacies can decide whether or not to accept them. Thus far our pharmacy has not.

It would help if you could provide more information as the kind of care for which your cousin signed up - both temporary and permanent.

My partner and I pay a monthly premium for our Prescription plan. It is through AARP. We LOVE it. Some of our drugs are only 1.00 or 4.00. Of course you have the same issues with some drugs not being covered by the insurance or Medicare. So, if you have a good doctor who has a good staff they usually can get the Prescription company to waive the NO and pay it. I had one drug that was at least $300.00 a month. I ended up paying about 40.00 a month and insurance picked up the rest. AARP Preferred Plan. Just go on line to AARP. I believe this must be the time of year to do this as I have been getting offers in the mail. I have no intention of changing plans,

You don't say if he is on Medicare or Medicaid. My nephew is on Medicare/Medicaid. From July to September he is on a tempory then permanent goes in. He gets special help. If on Medicare call them first. If they have no info, call the temporary insurance and find out what he needs to do.
