Does my stepsister have any right to not let me see my father ..if she has power of attorney over him. He is 89 and I'm the only child between my mom and my dad. He has been living in PA for over 10 years and I live in Florida and yes she has been there for him but he has told me that he wanted to move back to Florida. Now he is in a nursing home and she says I can't see or talk to him on the phone unless I go through her. My dad knows I'm gonna be coming to visit him. Can she do that?

I need help to find out if she has this power and find someone that can talk to him without me or my sister there. He still has his mind and I feel he is afraid of her. I have no funds to get legal services. Can u help me please

POA does not give your step sister the legal right to prevent you from seeing your dad. It gives her no right at all to keep you from seeing your father.

What's to stop you from driving to PA and driving right up to his nursing home and going in to see him? If your step sister is there and she is refusing to allow you to see your father call the police.

Our oldest Brother is POA of our Mothers trust. ( there hatswas no will, and property is involved), Probate has ended. We have not to this day received paperwork showing us anything about whats going on. He appears to be hiding something, since he gets aggravated when asked questions.
