I know twin sisters in assisted living. They are in they're right state of mind but at the same time they're not. And they've been so hurt about this everything they collect(porcelain dolls, etc) are gone!

Are you totally certain it was the POA and not some health dept rule about breakable or flammable hazards? Have they been throwing these dolls at each other or at the other residents? Have other residents thrown them at the sisters? If they are valuable, have some of them "disappeared" over time? Talk to their case manager, but under HIPPA, you may not get much information, other than to say there was a hazard of some kind.

No, none were thrown at anyone. Me personally I would say they are hoarders. POA gave them a month to clean the room but no way they could do that in a month in their condition.

There is a limit on what can safely be kept in in a room. I'm going to guess an inspector from Health Dept or Fire Dept said it was unsafe. My sister is in a group home, and one day they cleared out all her stuffed animals. I did not interfere, and she got over it.
