Most facilities will work closely with a POA for the safety of the resident. If there is any disruption or attempt to remove a resident, they will call the cops. They will even call the POA if the resident is upset or crying after a particular visitor shows up. If they see someone ask for money or take money from a resident, they will notify the POA what is going on. When we got mom to the ALF, they asked if she was allowed to leave with anyone. They asked if there was anyone who might be a concern.
