yes, he does have the medical POA. The younger brother(not the POA) has gotten a elder lawyer to say she can make her own decisions.

Does the Power of Attorney have Medical POA for her mother? If her Mom is at a point where she cannot make good decisions for herself, then the POA can step in to find the best possible place for her mother's care.

With Alzheimer's, it can vary from patient to patient, and depending on what Stage the patient is in, they could be very difficult to manage... thus, a higher level of care is needed.
