Hi you guys. Thank you each and every one of you for the sincere advice. I've already taken the role as the POA for the past year, just not the actual form until next week. Unfortunately, there is no family so I am honored to be in this position. Only GOD knows why we cross each other's path. I am so sorry that some of you had experiences that left unpleasant memories. Dementia I enjoy best, however, that is not the case with my friend now. I feel that any time you are responsible for a human beings well being it is a difficult emotion at times. Again, Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being supportive. I will keep you posted.
You’re certainly a professional in this field with lots of experience. The person who you are caring for is very fortunate to have someone who is willing to give your all in caring for them.
As long as you are not burdened with these additional responsibilities then you should do whatever you feel is best.
Wishing you all the best as you continue on your caregiving journey.
