Is there a place for my sister to live so she may have activities to suit her age?

My sister is 56 years old and has a form of dementia from early years of depression. She is now living in a nursing home. She has Medicad and receives SSI.

You might see if your state Medicaid coverage will pay for a small (6 residents) residential care home. It MAY or may not be more appropriate for her. Good luck.

Board and care for developmentally disabled adults? Where they are directed to activities, often similar to employment tasks, and get paid a stipend.
