That’s a very common question asking about being paid. Majority of grown children do not get paid for caring for their parent, unless the parent is financially able to pay from their own pocket. If a parent can afford to pay you, the parent might as well hire a certified trained caregiver allowing you to keep or look for a full-time job.

And as Pam above said, check with Medicaid. Remember not all States will pay a grown child to care for a parent, so don't be surprised if the State says no. Or if they say yes, it would be minimum wage and limited hours. Each State has their own rules and regulations.
