I had a "needs assessment " done. That was after a diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment with amnesiac features a year ago. My mothers dr works at the facility where I think she will eventually go. That is just luck that the GP she's gone to for years practices in the next building to an assisted living building. Also goes to the dentist there . I think a needs assessment is a good first step. Can you talk to their doctor and schedule one ?

It all depends on how they are financially. Can they afford an Assisted living? Sounds like Dad maybe able to help with Mom's care. If there is no Xtra money than see if they can get help thru Medicaid for aides. Call your office of the aging to see what services they have.
