My Mom (85) dementia, who has been an invalid for the last year receives some Soc Sec and small VA benefits, but pay for her 24/7 sitters. Rent, utilities, etc. has been coming out of her savings for the last 2-3 years. Monthly expenses have always exceeded her income and her money is about to run out. Sitters alone are more than $1400/week even with children assisting shifts. PS - hospice currently provides supplies, etc and visits once a week. Thanks.

Find Care & Housing
Even Medicaid and Medicaid Waivers will not pay for 24/7 home care. At that point, the patients do better in a facility setting with nurses and aides. Talk to your Hospice Nurse about additional Hospice hours.
