No, its just now you know what you are dealing with.

No one is required to place a LO in a facility. They should make sure the person is safe. Are you willing to do the caregiving. This means maybe giving up a job. Your life if aides are not an option. We have some members that care for a LO miles away from husband and children.

Money is needed for ALs and Memory care. Medicaid may pay if LO hits their criteria.

Not certain what you mean assessed, but many frail elderly with dementia are cared for at home.  I would strongly advice to get POAs, wills in order before any DX of dementia
