I have been trained as an in home caregiver and I’m now performing those duties for my 94 year old husband. I feel like I need someone more than just me keeping an eye on his progress/decline, but don’t know what they would do for us that I can’t do myself.

Find Care & Housing
I didn't find they did Much , a couple Nurses came to see my brother and check his Vitals . He was in a Nursing home . The social worker and I made the decision for Morphine then they came in . I would get your Doctor to help you contact the VNA ( Visiting nurses association ) They do Physical therapy , social work, meds . Elder services can help with cleaning , grocery shopping and finding you a CNA ( certified Nurses assistant ) For bathing and light housekeeping . Then Hire someone off Next door.com such as a CNA or someone In Nursing school . Some of these people will give you a break so you can do errands .

If your husband is not ready for hospice you could also check into home health care.. His doctor could order it depending on your insurance.
This again, would not give you much physical help but would give you a nurse on a weekly basis to help you monitor his health and a bathing aide. If you choose a home health agency that also has a hospice, you could transfer to hospice when the time comes.

Hospice goals are different from home health. Speak to your husbands doctor about what services are available for him. You could also speak the Area Agency on Aging and ask what services are available for your husband.

In-home hospice doesn't give any relief to the main caregiver(you)as they only do about 1% of your loved ones care, and you will still do 99% of his care.
Of course they will have a nurse to come once a week to start for about a half hour or so to check your husbands vitals, and aides to come about twice a week to bathe your husband, but don't expect more than that.
They may have volunteers that can come sit with your husband for an hour or so, but they won't be allowed to do any hands on care.
Hospice will supply any and all needed equipment, supplies and medications all covered under your husbands Medicare 100%, and you will have access to their social worker and chaplain too.
But if you're needing REAL help, please look into hiring some in-home help or even having your husband placed as you matter too in this situation.
I wish you well as you travel this final journey with your husband.
