My mother suffered a devastating stroke. After a period of time in a special ICU, she was transferred to a NH/Rehab facility. Her Medicare coverage is expiring. The facility requires 3 months of "bank statements" from her SS direct deposits to her debit card in order to apply for the Medicaid coverage. Both the finance office in the NH and I have been unsuccessful in acquiring this information. Please, advise me on the most efficient way to obtain this data as fast as possible.

Find Care & Housing
If you are named on your mom's bank statements, you can call the bank or go online to the account and get the statements. My mom and I took this step after my brother died years ago. I am the secondary on all of her accounts, and bills.

If you have not been granted POA by your mom, the NH may have to apply for emergency guardianship.
