Reading all of this makes me wish that us old folks could have assisted suicide on demand! I don't want to put my kids through this!

I'm a retired nurse of 22 years I have dealt with the ombudsman I have dealt with the state I have even gone to the federal level due to the incompetent lack of care in three nursing facilities that I've had my mom in they do not supply their daily needs my mom is heading numerous urinary tract infections they quote and quote told me that she fell out of bed when she can't even move or walk because they have confined her to a wheelchair she went in a facility weighing 161 lb she weighs 104 lb today I am so stressed out I am on medication just to be able to deal with them I have tried and tried to work with them till I'm blue in the face oh did I mention she broke her hip I go in there and she's continuously sitting in urine and feces she is now getting over a staph infection in a heel on her foot that is ulcerated from pressure sore because they weren't putting a pillow under that leg after her hip broke mind you I have a 9 back surgeries and took care of my mom for 4 years and when I was physically unable to anymore I had to have her admitted I don't know what to do I feel like throat punching everybody that I come in contact with when I walk in the door so to all you people out there that say they have such a hard job or you know not all facilities are like this well I've had her in three in a year-and-a-half and you can dress them up you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig lazy chair sitting phone tweten clock milkers is what they are and I'm sick of him so if you see me on the news you'll know why that's my mom and I honor her and I will never stop telling him or talking to them or pleading with him to make sure that she has proper care God bless my mama and all your family members out there

Assisted living is a much better place for an elder care! Most have varying degrees of care management. They can't give drugs without a doctor's consent and your consent.
