She's bed bound and solely dependent on them for her daily care. She has been there for a year and they have managed to lose both of her hearing aides (that cost over $4,000.00) even with the nurses locking them up at night. Are they responsible for them? She cannot hear without them, all they are offering is an amplification box, that does not work for her. This is affecting her quality of health greatly. Can't seem to get any answers. . .
Is it going to be possible to get them replaced? Could you approach the company who supplied them and see if they can help? You never know, they might at least offer duplicates at some kind of discount, fingers crossed :/
Some seniors tend to wrap their hearing aids up in tissue and unfortunately the cleaning crew, not knowing the hearing aids at in the tissue because the hearing aids are so very light weight, they get tossed out.
Someone needs to invent a hearing aid that beeps when it is out of the ear, so if a wadded up tissue or handkerchief is beeping, one knows it is in there.... or if it is out of the ear, beeps if it is moved while in a tissue.
