If my Dad goes to a nursing home, will they freeze his money in the bank?

Will he be on Medicaid? Is there a spouse or handicapped dependent child living at home? We need to know more information to be able to help.

If your dad goes to a nursing home, presumably most of his monthly bills will stop -- right? But we'd really need more detail, as JessieBelle says. Does he own a house? Is someone living it now? Is he going to pay for nursing home out of his own funds, or is he on/will he be on Medicaid?
