No visitation due to power of attorney. Is that legal?

Sibling with power of attorney and healthcare directive has instructed nursing home to aloof visitation of dying parent .
This is against the patient's wishes. Is that legal?

Unfortunately she has no idea right now that her Poa asked the nursing home to restrict visitation of any kind, and that she will never have a right to see them again. She would be waiting on a next visit to see them, however the nursing home has been advised to not allow any contact ? Very sad situation and abuse of power , not in the interest of patient

If the POA is activated then yes, the healthcare POA can determine who can visit.

Even I’d the patient request and ask for visitation ? Does the patient or principle have any elder rights

Is the parent lucid? Is the parent competent to tell the Staff what they want? If so, then the Facility nor the POA have any power to keep you out unless its related to COVID. If they have restrictions then u need to abide by them.
