I've been advised that in order to qualify for the VA Aid & Assistance for my 90-year-old dad, I need a Personal Care Contract. Has anyone had to do that? What all is entailed? Thanks for the help!

I do not knowwhat is entailed to get a Personal Care Contract. Ther are 2 resources I can suggest. First, on this site, click on the Money & Legal tab and look for the Veterans Assistance link. Second, go directly to the Veterans Administration website. You should find some answers.

definately call a veterans advocacy service. there is no charge to apply for a and a but their atty will charge 250 bucks to prepare a care contract, the service will send forms to the va even before they require them. ( stallers ) . if you try to apply yourself the va will game you to death. our application is expected to take 4 monyhs but its paid retro so a nice check will accompany the eventual approval. were expected to get 11 hundred bucks a month. in indiana i could tell you who to call. otherwise ask your local hospital who provides vet assistance in your state. the elders spouse must have served during war time..
