My mother's Medicare and supplemental Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO insurance DOES NOT fully cover her oxygen concentrator; her co pay is $14/month. All insurance is different, so you'd have to check with your specific provider to see what is/is not covered and if you have a co-pay, etc. The least expensive used concentrator I've seen on eBay is $400; on Cragislist, $150 for an InvaCare in 'fair' condition. Check your local Craigslist to see if you can find something affordable.

If not, search for oxygen concentrator, you may be able to find a fairly reasonably priced unit.
Ask your doctor's office if they know how to get assisted with paying for it.
Everyone I know that was prescribed oxygen it was covered by their insurance, however, they never got tanks, just concentrators.
