My Father was in the Navy many years ago. He now has Dementia and Mom is blind and can't care for him. I do it all but I need some relief and I know that the VA will send caregivers to veterans a few hours per week. I just can't get anyone to talk to me.

Find Care & Housing
You need to have both of them sign a Health Care Proxy and have two witnesses to them signing ( you cannot be a witness). That's the only way the VA will talk to you. If Dad's primary is not at the VA, call dad's MD and get him to order visiting nurses.
