You can schedule with a podiatrist and if your husband has mobility issues, there are professional nail persons who will come to the home. My parents just weren’t mobile enough to get to the podiatrist’s office. I googled and found a licensed professional who had medical credentials. She traveled from an hour away and did charge and extra $50 for that, but it was worth it. She did both their toenails with expert procession. Very pleased with this service. It’s not covered by insurance.

It all depends. Medicare will pay for a podiatrist every 10 weeks but they need to except Medicare. Like said, you need to see who your insurance has a contract with.

If he is a veteran in the United States, he can go to the VA and the podiatrist/podiatry nurse will trim his nails on a regular schedule. The other option would be to take him to a nail salon. My father (veteran) goes to the VA. My mother-in-law goes to a local salon just for nail trimming. Both like their choices.

His insurance provider should be able to give you some names.
Also, ask the primary doctor for a referral.

Please forgive my unfair judgement, but your name, Gothikmid, makes you sound so young to be going through this. I hope you find the help you need.
Keep in touch. There is a lot of good information on this site.

You can google by your zip code. The doctor's website should tell you what insurance they take (including Medicare).
