Mom has not a prolapsed uterus but a weak vaginal wall. The specialist suggested Premarin. Not only is this drug-cream have dangerous side effects, but it is made from horse urine and is cruel to animals. Also, my aunt died of cancer after taking it. Does anyone know of a natural form?
Is Estriol a safer way to go?
It's so frustrating that doctors don't give you options. Premarin is $200 a tube!!

Go to a homeopathic or naturalistic market and ask about "phytoestrogens", that is, plant sources of estrogen. Flax is highest, followed by Soy. Soy comes in many forms and is quite tasty, unlike flax.
You can get soy milk "Silk" at the supermarket.

ah. Thank you. Hmm. So I'll be taking Mom to my ND after all. He has been telling Mom all along her hormones are out of balance, but she doesn't like to listen to anybody.

The ND may say to NOT take soy every day, to cycle it off 1 week out of 4 and alternate with a plant source progesterone, like yams, to maintain balance. Ask the ND. Bring him a list of what she eats every day for a week to give him a better picture.
