Find Care & Housing
What kind of resources: financial or in-home helpers? You don't provide much info to go on, like whether you live with or near the mother, how old she is, what issues (if any) she is currently experiencing, and what unsafe things are happening. More details would help.

There is your County Office of Aging. They may have resources you can use. They can also evaluate the situation. If not, they will aim you in the right direction.

I saw you asked a previous question concerning a welfare check. Do you not live near your MIL? Who is financial POA? Actually Medical only comes into the picture when decisions need to be made concerning MILs health. When it comes to her Welfare, the POA should be making sure she is safe. Neither POAs have to care for her physically. The financial POA will be responsible for placing MIL in an AL or LTC because they hold the purse strings. They should know where all the paperwork needed is. Your husband comes in when she needs hospitalization, medications changed, added or subtracted. Decisions on should we do this should we do that based on MILs wishes.

Could you please give us info on MILs age. Why do you think its unsafe to be on her own? Do the financial POA and medical POA work together well?
