My mother says her stomach hurts her all the time. She constantly is rubbing her belly and says she is in pain. She has been diagnosed with Gerd, acid reflux disease. She also has anxiety, dementia and thyroid problems she has a hypothyroid. The last few days she has been vomiting and has diarrhea. She states her stomach hurts and then vomits. We have called the doctors set up appointments that put her on medication and she seems to have gotten worse. Any advice where the pain is coming from? Any similar complaints and results that work for family members?

This is a medical question. None of us know your Mom as a patient and any guessing would be just that, and wouldn't be a good thing. You need medical advice now. This could be literally ANYTHING from her usual GERD to an obstruction. You need, if she has pain, to get her to the ER where she can have a scan or MRI. Do not take medical advice from members of a forum. I sure wish you the best and hope you will update us after your Mom sees medical.

Forget calling the doctor this requires an ER visit either get her into the car or call 911 and have her transported if it is not safe for you to get her into the car yourself.
This could be anything from nothing serious to very serious, possibly life threatening.
The only exception to this advice would be if your mom is on Hospice, Hospice always gets the first call in an emergency.

ER. Right now. Seriously.

Agreed, get her to the ER right away! It's very dangerous to allow an elder to keep vomiting and having diarrhea without treatment bc it can easily lead to dehydration which can kill her. We are not equipped to diagnose your mother online and she needs to be seen in person asap, especially since you say she's getting worse since being prescribed medication. It can be anything from an ulcer to an obstructed bowel.

Good luck!

Take her to the ER before she is completely dehydrated from this.

Only a a trained physician with testing can tell you what is going on.
