Find Care & Housing
Does your Dad live alone? You could call a few of his good friends and tell them it would lift your father's spirits if they could call or stop by for a visit, even a quick one. Another idea I've heard about on this forum is that there are senior centers that seniors can go to during the day to meet other people and engage in various activities. You could contact your local council on aging to find out if your community has a center like this.

The other thing that could help is to see if you could talk with your father a bit about your mother or about the days/times surrounding her passing....maybe he needs to talk about it more and process it so that he can move forward in his grieving process. If he doesn't want to talk about it, he'll more than likely tell you, but at least you've broached the subject and given him the opportunity.
