My mother lives with my sister and receives VA Aid & Attendance. Can my sister claim her as a dependent on her taxes without loss of benefit?

No, unless she is paying over 50% for Moms expenses. She needs to talk to a preparer. Mom can't claim herself if sister does.

May I ask what VA Aid & Attendance is? My father (who was a retired marine) passed away in 2016 and I'm now my mother's caregiver. Is this something I could receive? Thank-you!!
