My mother is 87 and on oxygen 24-7 for her emphysema and osteoporosis and my sister is 68 with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis, and cannot get around very well at all. They live together in Kyle, Tx. and I live in Austin, Tx. My husband and I are both on disability. I was told I could get paid from someone (not sure if it is state, county, or city) to go out and help them with their cooking and cleaning. My sister used to do their cooking, but she is getting so bad and really in a lot of pain, so she can't stand at the stove to cook. Basically, they just eat canned foods and snacks and they need better nutrition. Can you tell me who I can get to help me with taking care of them. They are both on Medicare.
