day to day assistance now. I moved in with her about a two years ago cause I knew that it was getting bad for her. I work full-time and have two children of my own that I take care of I know that I'm going to have to start working part-time or not at all. I was told that I can get paid for for taking care of my mom. I just need to know the next step I need to do.

If Mom has assets/income and can afford to pay you, she should. Have a personal care agreement drawn up spelling out what she is paying and what you are providing.

If Mom can't afford to pay for the care she needs, help her apply for Medicaid. Daily care would probably come under the Elderly Waiver program of that assistance. Once it is determined what the financial aid program will pay for, then you can go about being the person who gets paid for providing it.

I forgot to add that the doctor's found a tumor in October. Have to take her back to the doctor's talking about removing it. Which is a very big concern cause she's soooo tiny.
