Find Care & Housing
I agree. Many Alz. patients sleep a lot when they reach the late stage of Alz. I also recommend you ask mom's doctor about bringing hospice on board. If qualified, she will receive services and support.

Your profile says that your mom had a stroke so I'm guessing that she probably has vascular dementia(the most aggressive of all the dementias)along with her Alzheimer's, so yes at end of life sleeping a lot is very normal as the body gets ready for its transition from this life to the next.
I would probably bring hospice on board now and let them keep your mom comfortable until she passes.
The life expectancy of someone with vascular dementia is only 5 years, so if that's what she has her time is definitely limited.
Best wishes in bringing hospice on board and enjoy whatever time you may have left with your mom.
