My mom is almost 90 and under hospice care. She doesn't understand what hospice is and when we tried to explain she still didn't understand. Now we call it comfort care and tell her that she didn't have to go to the hospital any more as she was afraid she would die in the hospital

She has a lot of health issues. She only has one kidney that is failing. Her heart is failing and diabetes and chronic pain. She is basically confined to a wheel chair. Over the past couple of weeks she has saying that she sees little kids in her room and outside. She says she saw a woman sitting on the porch across the street holding a baby and there was no on there. Then this morning she said she saw a little boy give my sister something as she was getting her dressed. My mom was dropped off at an orphanage along with her brothers and sisters as her mom died while she was a baby. My sister and I were wondering if this was possibly her family watching over her like guardian angels. Should we go along with her?

It doesn't sound as though the children are frightening to her, so why not play along? You could ask her if she knows their names, if they are bothering her, whatever seems appropriate at the time. In my reading I have discovered that seeing children near the end of life seems to be a common theme, it would be nice to believe they were messengers from the other side :-)

I have to agree with Cwillie on the visions your mom is having. With the people I have been with who died, My last husband, my first husband and my mother...They all saw something. They all were comforting things. My late husband saw Jesus Christ and said He was beautiful and he never spoke again and died within seconds..My mom saw her dad. My present partner has many people and I did ask him if he knew their name and who they were. He did not know. I think asking questions is fine. Just be ready for the answers.......
