You've posted many times that you 'think' your mother is suffering from dementia. And now is acting 'weird' today. Are you in a position to get your mom to the ER? Are you able TO get her evaluated? Can you call 911 and get her to the ER to be seen for an overall evaluation for dementia and other health concerns that may be contributing to her 'acting weird'? If so, do so. If not, then you'll have to wait until your mother agrees to go to her doctor for a cognitive evaluation and/or a health check up to see if there are issues going on that are contributing to her acting off.
You cannot force her to go to the ER or to the doctor for tests, is my point. She still has the right to say NO or to refuse to get in an ambulance if you call 911. She either agrees to treatment or she doesn't. That ball is in her court.
Is this sudden and unprecedented? If so you should go to an ER. You could be looking at something as simple as a UTI or as dramatic as a stroke. I would not delay on this.
Get her to her primary care doctor immediately . They can send her to a Neurologist . If she really seems Out of it you Might want to call 911 and Have her evaluated .

You say your mom had a stroke previously. You also say in your profile she has Alzheimer's/dementia. There is a good possibility that she would be diagnosed with Vascular dementia. Getting a proper diagnosis is important if she can withstand the testing. If she is not compliant it probably does not make much difference. Some testing may require that she be very still for scans if she will not be still then they may wish to sedate her and that can present a whole 'nuther set of problems.

Could be a UTI , an infection or another stroke.
An evaluation for dementia/cognitive decline should be scheduled with a neuropsych team when she is not in the midst of an emergency.
