Get your mother to the doctor for meds to control her dementia related delusions. Hopefully the police were told she suffers from dementia?

In the future, it's helpful to post more than a title to a question, giving details about your situation and outlining your question. Filling out your profile is helpful too.

Best of luck to you.

What is your question? Your Mom called the 911 and told the cops "people were taking things from her house" ... and this wasn't true? Do you live with her? You posted this under New to Caregiving. How old is your Mom? If she is having paranoia and/or delusions she could have a UTI or moderate dementia. Either you get her to Urgent Care of the ER to get tested for a UTI or you call 911 and have them take her -- but do not mention dementia since this isn't considered a medical emergency and cannot be treated or diagnosed in the ER). If you are suspecting dementia it is usually diagnosed by discounting all other medical possibilities. More info would be helpful.
