Thank you for your suggestions on my last post. I'm trying to see what well known agencies can help me in at least visit my mom twice a week. I'm concerned about her falling down the stairs as her bedroom is upstairs and that's where the cat boxes are. I've been here due to the pandemic, I'm on unemployment that's about to run out but need to see what state agency can help me set this up. Before I leave Texas I'm going to try to see if I can install cameras in her place so I can keep a watch on her via my phone. I know I've been here in Texas for 5 months but didn't know how this pandemic was going to affect me. That's why I didn't install the cameras yet. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

I would have a few concerns.
1. It really does not sound like your mom should be living alone.
A caregiver a few times a week might not be enough. All day would be great but what happens at night?
2. Move the bed downstairs, move the cat boxes downstairs. Eliminate the need for her to go to the second floor. I hope there is a bathroom with a shower on the first floor.
Cameras on each floor and in the rooms that she would be using would be ideal.
If you have a caregiver come in you can not have cameras in a private are the caregiver would use. (a bathroom for her use or if you have a live in no cameras in that bedroom) You need to inform them there are cameras. Video recording is permitted but not audio unless you have permission. (check local laws first if you plan on recording audio or video)
I think the long term plan would be to find Memory Care would be the best long term solution. Would not matter if the MC is where she currently is or where you live.
