Find Care & Housing
Shirley, I think you need help that we as a forum cannot give. As said, we have asked questions and you have yet to respond.

I am going to be honest here. First, you have a therapist you should be talking to. Second, I don't think you can handle your husband alone. I have asked before if you have any family, if so, you need to ask for help. Ask the aides you hired how you should handle him.

What would I do in this situation...I would allow him to do what he wants since he thinks he knows it all. When something happens again and he is in rehab, tell them you cannot care for him at home so he needs to be in an Assisted living or Longterm care. I would think that would be a better solution than worrying yourself to death when he is home.

You have a therapist, use him/her.

It appears you don’t follow device. Just the statement asking for help soon. We’ve answered soon many times. No response from you, no updates.

And of course your husband realises that if he pursues his line of thinking, then he will eventually fall and break a hip (or worse) where the hospital bills will far exceed the cost of caregivers and life confined to a hospital bed will be considerably less worth living?

Shirley, you need to call your husband's doctor if he is severely depressed and discuss options for him. If he falls do not try to pick him up -- call 911 (also if he is actually suicidal). Or call your social worker asap on Tuesday.
