My husband is a blind veteran (Korea) and wants to know if he can move into a veterans home. He has no pension. Any advice?

I, his wife need to move also - can hardly walk. We are currently in our home and can no longer manage. We both need to move and need help cleaning out as I cannot manage the stairs (2 flights) and there are piles of clothes up and down.
