My husband has Stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. He has mini sessions of uncontrollable shakes. What's going on?

He has not drank beer for 2 months. He doesn’t eat much. I try to get fluids in him. He has good days and bad. He takes his medicine. But he is getting worse. He can be mean. Doesn’t remember things. Can’t talk. He doesn’t eat enough. I know the ammonia levels make him shake. But this is more severe. He also has Hep C. We go to the doctor again April 15. This is a liver specialist. Our Other liver doctor suggested him because at the stage of his liver, the treatments can kill him.
Just scared and don’t know what to do.
