As you mentioned, “God opened doors for him to be released from the terrible turmoil he was going through.” You will surely miss him, but you can get through this loss by focusing on the happy times you’ve had with him and do not dwell on the sadness of his death. Know that he is now free of pain and turmoil and he is in a better place.
Hi Michelle, Thanks for asking, My husband pasted away Feb. 2nd. He fell & hit his head & bled quite a bit from his ear. Nurse thought he hit his ear but could not see any cut. We had put him on hospice care on a Friday and he fell that following Monday. My grandson is a hospice nurse and he felt like grandpa had a brain bleed. They took him to a hospice home on Tuesday and passed away that Friday. God opened doors for him to be released from the terrible turmoil he was going through. I am so thankful for him that God took him home. I miss him so much, but he would not have wanted live like he was. I think they were close to making him find a different place. I had no idea where we would have gone.
Do you feel the aid is engaging with him properly? There are techniques so that it can go more productively. If not, discuss with facility admins, last resort is to request a different aid.
I really don’t think they have had enough education on dealing with aggressive behavior. We have talked with the administration and they agree there needs to be more schooling. They don’t seem to be doing anything about it. It has bruises and his thumb was turned back.. We don’t have an option of going somewhere else. The nurse that did this is a good nurse otherwise. I wouldn’t want her to lose her job. I’ve been going down more now to watch what goes on and have showed them someways to deal with different confrontations.
They have tried different kinds of medication’s nothing seems to be working. Going to have Hospice come in and evaluate him. I just don’t want this to escalate any further and hurt someone.
