GrievingMother1, am I correct that your Uncle has passed, since you mentioned him the past-tense? If yes, so sorry for your loss. Did your Uncle have a Will? If yes, who did your Uncle name as his Executor?

If there is no Will, depending on the value of your Uncle's financials, and the State he resided, everything may have to go into Probate. At Probate, the Probate Judge will appoint a person to handle everything. Chances are someone other then your Grandmother would be appointed. It's not fair for her to handle all of this if she is uncomfortable about what to do.

U have grandma has Dementia? If so, no one should depend on her for answers. Someone else needs to take over. If no will and there are assets, someone needs to go to probate and become an administrator. If a will and Gma was made Executor she does not have to except it. Someone else can ask probate to assign an executor or administrator.

You need to clarify what you are asking. It really makes no sense.
