I'm on medicaid. But, I want to see my old doctor for a condition. The nurse told me that they would get in trouble if they treated someone that is on medicaid.
I believe (hope someone can confirm or correct) that a doctor or clinic can decide to accept Medicaid or not, but cannot do so selectively. That is, if your doctor accepts Medicaid from you he could "get in trouble" for turning down the next patient who wants to pay via Medicaid.
If he does not take your form of payment, he is no longer your doctor. Find a new one that does take medicaid. Since you have medicaid, I assume you lack the resources to pay privately. The doctor will not get in "trouble" other than he will not be paid and if he is part of a group practice, hospital or other physician employer they may not be happy to have him spend billable hours on a non billable patient.
