My best friend doesn't have a shower or bath and can't afford one and gave up on getting one. She said that her private smells bad. Advice?

Assuming your best friend does have water connected to her house, she can first of all wash using a plastic bucket if need be. If she doesn't have one, lend her yours.

But if the odour is really that bad it may be the result of an infection rather than of just a lack of washing, and she'd better take medical advice.

How has it come about that this person has no functioning washing facilities in her house, and what exactly has she 'given up on'? It seems unlikely that being short of money alone is the problem.
