But I’ve bought 6 different tab brands and they are “too bulky” for her. Can anyone recommend the brand and name of the thinnest tab-style adult diaper please? Thank you.

My mom is very picky about her pullups. She thinks the tab ones are more like baby diapers and refuses to wear them. Pretty much anything she wears ends up with leaks. It's probably time to start looking into assistance for your mom.

Your "87 year old" shouldn't be changing her own diapers anymore pull up or tab type anyway, so time for someone to step up and get up over night and help her so she doesn't get hurt.

Your note is rudely condescending and not helpful. I happen to agree with you however those types of decisions are actually none of my business. I’m simply trying to help from afar.

Tab type are difficult to change yourself.
You should be helping when it comes time to change her.
the reason they are "bulky" is that they are designed to absorb a lot of fluid and fecal matter. The pull up type are just as bulky but the elastic at the leg draws the absorbent materials in more than the tab type does.
You could try the washable, reusable incontinent underwear and see if that fits better. the washable underwear is a bit thinner and fits more like regular underwear. If you try these make sure you get the ones that are going to be for the absorbency that she needs.

Another thing to think about having an older person change themselves at night is the risk of a fall. A person is less steady on their feet, the dark room, being sleepy all are a potential fall opportunity.
Might want to use a liner pad and don't worry about changing until morning.

The sides of the pull ups and tabs briefs are really not very absorbent, have you tried the overnight pads with snug fitting underwear? (I remember the Tena ones were huge in both length and width)

Mom is 110 with a 34 in waist, do you mean 24?

Someone suggested one time to use the biggest toddler size you can find. They should have measurements on the box.

Thank you for your tips. Yes, I typed the waist size wrong, her waist is 24 and hips are 34. Thank you again very much.
