My mother's UTI doesn't go away. More than a month taking different antibiotics. 92 with Alzheimers. What else can be done? She had two blood transfusion due to she has an internal bleeding, but they don't know from where. She had an endoscopy but wasn't from there. Because of her age and the Alzheimers some test are very risky. Now her doctor wants for her to see an urology. Are any of your loveones had this situation? Please let me know. Thank You

At 92, the system may simply be shutting down. My daughter at 32 had a bone marrow transplant that failed to fix her leukemia. We said no more transfusions. She died a few weeks later, bled out.

Does she have a foley catheter? If so, she may not be given enough water through it. If not, she may be dehydrated. Make sure she's getting enough fluids.

She doesn't have a catheter. I am giving her water, juices, but she just takes little. I agreed with the first comment, at 92 the system is not helping.
Thank you!
