$25 is very low for mowing a normal sized lawn. We pay twice that in Alabama for a 0.25 acre lawn with a landscaper that gives my mother a break. He has cut her grass for many years. Her lawn has a bank, so the going rate would be about $100 with a company.

Can you get another estimate? Maybe see who her neighbors use? When Dad could not longer figure out the tractor I had to hire a service.. I checked around with the neighbors

Prices vary by location, but for a 100x120 foot suburban lot in 14120 you pay $40 for just a cut. More for raking, edging, trimming, gutters, etc.

An added note: When I said " a cut" I mean mowing the grass. The landscaper usually blows the leaves and mows the grass for $25.
